We are saddened to report the death of Old Member Edward Nugee, QC (1947), known as Ted, who passed away on 30th December 2014. Ted was a dedicated supporter of the College and frequently attended alumni events, even well into his 80s. A service of thanksgiving will be held at the Temple Church in London in the New Year, with details to be confirmed in due course.

Old Member Richard Flanagan (1984) has been awarded the 2014 Man Booker Prize for his novel The Narrow Road to the Deep North - congratulations from Worcester!

Ben Weston (1987), Head of Specialist Factual at Reef Television, has won the Czech Crystal award at the Golden Prague TV Festival for his production Messiah at the Foundling Hospital. The drama documentary was presented by Amanda Vickery and Tom Service and was part of the BBC’s cross-channel arts season ‘Eighteenth Century Britain: Majesty, Music & Mischief’. Ben also won a 2013 Broadcast Award for Best Music Programme during his previous role as Executive Editor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert.
