It is easy to become overwhelmed listening to the talks and pledges that have emerged from the recent COP 27 Climate Conference in Egypt. Global commitments make great soundbites. But they also remove agency from the vast majority of people on the planet. Rob Penn – ‘reformed’ lawyer, journalist, author and broadcaster – co-founded the woodland creation and landscape restoration charity Stump Up For Trees in 2020 to help mitigate the climate and biodiversity crises in his own backyard, the Brecon Beacons in south-east Wales.

It starts at 6:30pm with a Drinks Reception in the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre followed by a four course dinner in the Hall.
