The Rt Revd Alec Graham (1929-2021)
We are sad to announce the death of Honorary Fellow, The Right Reverend Andrew Alexander Kenny Graham (known as Alec), on 9 May 2021, aged 91. He died peacefully at his home in Cumbria.
He was Chaplain and Lecturer in Theology at Worcester from 1958 to 1960, and Chaplain, Fellow and Tutor from 1960 to 1970. In 1970 he left the College to become Warden of Lincoln Theological College and in 1977, he was consecrated Suffragan Bishop of Bedford. Dr Graham was elected an Honorary Fellow of Worcester College in 1981. He was subsequently Bishop of Newcastle (1981-97) and following his retirement in 1997, he became an Honorary Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Carlisle.
