Conferences & Events
At Worcester, we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver bespoke events to the highest standards. Our events and hospitality teams draw on many decades of experience and work together to make all events both seamless and special, from residential conferences to corporate events, private receptions and fine dining.
Our spaces
Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre
One of the landmark features of today’s Worcester College site is a brand new conference centre, which is on the shortlist for the 2018 Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize for architecture. Situated by the lake, overlooking the gardens and the cricket pavilion, the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre offers a world-class venue for conferences and events. This new building is centred around the Tuanku Bainun Auditorium, an accessible and beautifully appointed lecture theatre with fixed seating for 136 delegates (and 160 with extra chairs).
Linbury Building
Funded by Lord John Sainsbury in 1990, The Linbury Building is a dedicated conferencing and private dining venue for up to 100 guests for receptions. Enjoying a secluded location in the College’s award-winning gardens, the Linbury looks out across the Nuffield Lawn.
Nash Building
The Nash suites offer great flexibility and can be adapted to suit most meeting requirements. The two Nash rooms (East and West) have their own boardroom tables but can be configured either independently as stand-alone suites; or combined, with each room providing a complementary function. The retractable acoustic panels that divide these rooms make them highly adaptable. For larger groups, the two rooms can be merged into an impressive space with an overall theatre capacity for 60 delegates.
Our feedback
We're always delighted to hear from happy clients. Here is a selection of recent feedback for the Conference Office:
"Feedback for the event has been really extremely positive with lots of people commenting on the beautiful building and grounds, the great facilities, the daytime catering and the lovely dinner, and the welcoming, warm and efficient environment created by Worcester staff. Thank you all so much for all you have done." British Myology Society
"Thank you so much for giving us the most magical and perfect wedding day, it was truly beyond our wildest dreams! Our guests loved the food, the attention to detail in the organisation and how friendly everyone was. We will treasure our memories of the day for the rest of our lives." Katie and Marcus
"Thank you so much for your hospitality, your warmth, your patience. You are all such professionals, and we loved working with you." Putney Student Travel
"As you promised, the food was, quite simply, fantastic. Compared with our other venues, Worcester certainly stood out as the evening with the best team, the best menu, the best coordination, and the most fun." The Chief of Staff Association
"The venue was lovely, with excellent facilities and plenty of space, and the accommodation was comfortable and conveniently located. Overall, it was a brilliant two days and we received a lot of comments from attendees about how much they enjoyed the venue, I would highly recommend it to others and would definitely book again." Oxford Biomedical Imaging Festival
