Worcester College is delighted to welcome David Isaac CBE, who takes up his post as Provost today.

David comments:

‘I am delighted to be joining Worcester College as Provost at this crucial juncture, when we hope the College will gradually return to normality following the last 18 months of the pandemic. I’d like to pay tribute to Interim Provost, Professor Kate Tunstall and her colleagues, who have worked tirelessly to maintain a safe and caring environment for all students and staff during this difficult time. I am looking forward to working with colleagues to restore a supportive and flourishing academic community. I will also engage with students, staff, fellows and Old Members to ensure that we create a forward-looking institution based on academic excellence.’

David has stated that his initial priority in the coming weeks is to ‘engage with everyone who cares about Worcester, to listen and learn, and to determine how together we can move forward.’

A warm welcome to the new Provost has been extended by The Governing Body, Staff and Students.
