Terrace refurbishment project wins Oxford Preservation Trust certificate

At last week’s Oxford Preservation Trust Awards Ceremony, we were delighted to be awarded a certificate in the Building Conservation Category in recognition of the successful conservation, repair and refurbishment of Staircases 3-6 in the Main Quad.

This project required extensive planning and internal co-operation to facilitate the decanting of the Terrace and temporary relocation of Fellows. Jayne Stoddart, Mark Bainbridge, Scott Scullion and Simon Bagnall were particularly instrumental in assisting with the project. The complex project was completed during Covid, with an exceptional team of staff and contractors – WG Carter, Carter Jonas, Advanced Electrical Systems Ltd, G F Cross and Sons Ltd, Allen & Foxworthy, and Andrew Alder Associates. Everyone worked exceptionally hard to continue the works while extensive Covid health and safety restrictions were in place.

Well done to the whole team: the College is very proud to be recognised by the Oxford Preservation Trust. Scroll down to watch drone footage of the new roof captured by WG Carter.
