New Year Honours for Old Members

We start 2025 with excellent news as two Old Members are honoured for their services to business, charity and public service in the King’s New Year Honours list.

Edward Braham (1980, Law) has been awarded a knighthood for services to corporate law and business. Since 2022 he has served as Chair of M&G, an international leader in savings and investments, where he has overseen a transformation and growth programme. Prior to M&G, Edward was the Senior Partner of global law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, during which time he spearheaded its US expansion and the opening of its pioneering office in Silicon Valley. As Chair of the TheCityUK’s International Trade Investment Group, he has played a significant role in the promotion of London as a leading international financial centre, and also serves as a non-executive member of the board of HM Treasury.
