Brand-new College website launched

Welcome to the brand-new Worcester College website.

We’re delighted to launch our first new website since 2015, featuring overhauled content, improved structure and navigation, and a refreshed brand identity. You’ll find everything you know and love from before but with some significant improvements – why not check out our new home for research, our improved event listings, our overhauled venue hire information, or the pages which shed a light on our archival and special collections like the World War memorials and Treasures of Worcester College Blog?

Over the course of the past nine months, our developers from The Web Kitchen (TWK) have worked closely with stakeholders across College. Beginning by interviewing students, fellows and staff back in April, TWK identified ‘place’ as the thread uniting these different groups – not only a shared appreciation of the stunning buildings and gardens which make Worcester a special place to live, work and study, but a notion that there’s a place for everyone here and it’s a place you can make your own. The final design of the website seeks to champion these ideas, showcasing the unique features of the College and highlighting its welcoming community.

TWK was founded in 2006 by Worcester Old Member Rob Stone (2001, Philosophy, Politics & Economics). The company is a creative digital agency based in London, but with staff across Europe, and takes its social obligations and environmental impact seriously. They have planted more than 60,000 trees through a partnership with Ecologi to offset their carbon footprint and donate 2% of all project revenue to Mary’s Meals, providing nutritious school meals to children in some of the poorest parts of the world.

We’re looking forward to continuing our work with TWK on phase two of the site which will include an interactive map so that you can explore Worcester from wherever you are in the world. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy exploring the new website. If you’ve got any feedback or notice something that doesn’t work as it should, please email communications@worc.ox.ac.uk
