Matteo Parisi awarded Sachs Scholarship to Princeton
Matteo Parisi (2017, Mathematics) has been awarded the prestigious Sachs at Princeton Scholarship, which allows a graduate student from Worcester to study at Princeton University for a year.
This is one of three annual Sachs Scholarships awarded, with another, the Sachs Worcester Scholarship, allowing a Princeton senior to study for two years at Worcester College. The Sachs Worcester Scholar will be Princeton senior Gabriela Oseguera Serra.
The Sachs Scholarship is intended to broaden the global experience of its recipients by providing them with the opportunity to study, work or travel abroad after graduation. It was established by classmates and friends of Daniel Sachs, a distinguished Princeton student, who attended Worcester as a Rhodes Scholar. Daniel Sachs died of cancer at age 28 in 1967; the award is given to those who best exemplify his character, intelligence and commitment, and whose scholarship is most likely to benefit the public.
