King’s Birthday Honour for Andrew Stephen

Professor Andrew Stephen has been appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in the King’s Birthday Honours list in Australia.

Professor Stephen is a Professorial Fellow at Worcester College, L’Oréal Professor of Marketing and Deputy Dean of Saïd Business School. The Australian-born professor is a highly prolific academic in the marketing field and his contributions to marketing research and education continue to have an impact on the marketing industry around the world. The honour recognises his ‘significant service to business marketing research and development’.

Andrew is also Director of the Oxford Future of Marketing Initiative, which brings the Saïd Business School’s world-class marketing academics together with senior marketing leaders from some of the world’s largest companies to collaboratively tackle major challenges in the marketing, advertising, media, and communications industries.

I am deeply honoured to receive this award. Becoming a Member of the Order of Australia is a huge privilege and came as a complete surprise. I look forward to continuing to make a positive impact on both marketing academia and marketing through my research and education activities at the University of Oxford in the years to come.
