Dr Dan Lunn

It is with deepest sadness we report that Dan Lunn passed away peacefully on Sunday 17th February after a short illness.  Our thoughts will be with his wife Mary and their family in the days to come.

Vice-Provost Peter Darrah writes:

‘Dan and I were college colleagues for over thirty years. Dan was the most generous person I have ever known. He was generous in every way but most importantly he was generous with his time.  For College, that meant long stints as Senior Treasurer of Clubs, Tutor for Graduates and Senior Tutor. For the University, it meant running the Statistics Consultancy Service long after he had officially retired. But most notably, when coupled with his formidable intellect and prodigious memory, for his undergraduates it meant an absolutely inspirational tutor. He will be sorely missed by all those lucky enough to have known him and I am grateful that I could count him as a very dear friend.’
