The Junior Deans undertake a range of duties in college, to ensure the community functions harmoniously. Duties broadly encompass:

  • welfare provision, e.g., support in a medical emergency, emotional support during crises
  • discipline e.g., closing down unauthorised parties, ensuring members comply with college rules
  • safety e.g., supporting lodge staff, completing duty rounds.

We are therefore looking for graduate students who are mature, responsible, excellent communicators and able to set an example in college for their peers. They must be able to confidently make judgements, unafraid to challenge others, be proactive and be able to think on their feet as events unfold.

Please be aware that this position is not open to international students facing a formal 20hr/week work restriction.
