Worcester hosts ‘Bottle Moments’ charity awards

Worcester was delighted to welcome a very special group of children and their parents for an awards ceremony in the Sultan Nazrin Shah Centre on Tuesday 14th December, hosted by Good Morning Britain Presenter Ben Shephard.

The children were award winners in a national competition ‘Bottle Moments‘ – a creative lockdown charity initiative set up by Psychologist and author Dr Kevin Dutton and Cartoonist Rob Murray.

The initiative was set up to support the mental health of children all over the country during last year’s lockdown, encouraging them to be creative and to draw their ‘bottle moment’; the thing they’d most like to do again when things were back to normal, enabling them to ‘bottle’ it. During the ceremony, the winners were presented with their bottle moment drawing on a t-shirt by Ben Shephard for them to take home and keep. Provost David Isaac also gave a short speech extending a warm Worcester welcome to the children and parents who had been able to be there.

It was a wonderfully uplifting event in these uncertain times and you can read more about #BottleMoments at: www.bottlemoments.com

Thanks, Worcester, for hosting the event! There was real magic in the air on Tuesday. I've had so many messages from parents saying how special it was and how they'll remember the day forever - it was a real team effort all round!
