Most successful boat club at Torpids 2025

Worcester College Boat Club has kicked off its bicentenary year with another wonderful performance in Torpids racing.

Founded in 1825, the Boat Club is celebrating its 200th anniversary this year. What better way to start the celebrations than being crowned most successful club on the river for a second Torpids running?

Despite unfavourable conditions mandating the races be run in half-divisions only, three Worcester crews competed. Together, they went up 11 places in the bump charts – the most of any college. For those keen on statistics, the full set of results can be scrutinised online.

The success of the rowers bodes well for Summer VIIIs next term and is the perfect way to begin celebrating their 200th birthday!
