The new book by theatre critic Michael Coveney (1967), Questors, Jesters and Renegades: The Story of Britain’s Amateur Theatre, will be published on 5th March.

With a foreword by Sir Kenneth Branagh, the book tells the story of amateur theatre as it developed from the medieval guilds to the modern theatre of Ayckbourn and Pinter. Michael will be discussing the book at two events; one at Daunt Books Hampstead on 12 March and one at the National Theatre on 19 March.
