Debating the Difficult: Assisted Dying
How do we ensure conversations on ‘difficult’ issues take place in a respectful and courteous manner?
This debate will be conducted by reference to a framework of ‘tips’ to promote free speech developed by Oxford students and academics. Chaired by John Bowers KC, the Principal of Brasenose College, the debate will give space to speakers from both sides of the argument, including current students. Among other guests, they’ll be joined by Lord Falconer, the former Lord Chancellor, and Lady Finlay of Llandaff, a Professor of Palliative Medicine.
This event has been organised in collaboration with Balliol, Mansfield, Regent’s Park, Somerville and Worcester Colleges.
