We are seeking to recruit a Head of Bulding Works.

The Head of Building Works is responsible for the upkeep and improvement of College’s physical estate, excluding the gardens and grounds. This includes the upkeep of the historic fabric; the operation and maintenance of all buildings, walls, drainage and hard surfaces; and the management of major works programmes. Head of Building Works also has principal responsibility for Health & Safety and Fire Safety across the College.

Grade 6: £29,614 - £35,326 p.a.

The IT Department is looking to appoint a Desktop Support Analyst.

The primary responsibility of the Desktop Support Analyst is to provide first line support via the College helpdesk to College members (students, academic staff and non-academic staff), guests and other making use of College facilities. This is currently managed via an online helpdesk system (supportpal) but enquires are also made by phone, in-person and by Microsoft teams. The Desktop Support Analyst will also need to respond to alerts from the College’s operational monitoring system; this will involve some low-level systems administration.

The team of 6 skilled tradespeople are managed by the College Maintenance Supervisor, who then reports to the Head of Works.

We are seeking to appoint a Systems Administrator to join our small but busy IT Team to work on our key technology initiatives in additional to providing excellent support to existing services. Initially, the post will be involved with migration of our edge network switches to a new version and the management of a complex SQL/ASP.net based corporate information system. When these projects are successfully concluded, the appointee will move on to equally challenging, interesting and important, technical projects as well as maintaining and supporting our existing hardware and software.

£20,943-£23,555 per annum

Applications are invited for a fixed-term Stipendiary Lecturership in Classics at Worcester College, tenable from 1 October 2022 to 30 September 2023.  The lecturer will be required to give tutorials and classes for a variety of papers, including Homer’s Iliad, Texts and Contexts, Early Greek Hexameter Poetry, Greek Core, Greek Tragedy, and to conduct sessions of supplementary Greek language work with first- and second-years, including those in the first year studying Greek ab initio, (reinforcement of elementary language teaching, translation of Greek prescribed texts, unseen translation,

Working within the Housekeeping Department you will be responsible for providing cleaning and housekeeping services within the College. This will involve working closely with College Fellows, students, guests, and a wide range of colleagues from within other departments.

Grade 7: £33,309- £40,927 p.a.

To provide day-to-day support for the Provost by being a key point of liaison between the Provost and the various constituencies with which he interacts. In particular, to provide project management support for the delivery of strategic College projects, working with a small team reporting to the Provost.

Grade 3.4: £21,686 to Grade 3.6: £22,847 p.a.

The role of the Front of House Department is crucial within the College community and is staffed 24 hours a day all year round, and needs to run with courtesy and efficacy at all times. The Lodge is the reception point for College and as such is also responsible for providing information, support, and security to academics, students, staff, guests, and visitors.
