February 2019
Just three weeks after the snow, the temperatures had risen sharply and a mini heatwave had enveloped the south of England - not ideal conditions for the arboricultrualists from Harcourt Arboretum, who volunteered to climb up the trees to put up two Tawny owl boxes in the grounds. These boxes have been built and donated by a resident and neighbour of Jericho. In the past the 'twit twoo' call of Tawny Owls have been heard in the area and it is very much hoped that a pair may move into these boxes in future.
