‘Oh, What a Lovely War!’ 50th Anniversary Tea
The spectacular Buskins production of Joan Littlewood’s Oh, What a Lovely War! took place beside the lake in Worcester College Gardens from Monday 26 to Friday 31 May 1975.
Directed by Richard Longworth, with Martin Vander Weyer as production manager, War! was just one highlight of a lively Buskins programme in that era. Another was Anthony Seldon’s Trinity term 1974 production of J.M. Synge’s The Playboy of the Western World. Richard, Anthony and Martin would like to invite everyone who took part in either show — plus spouses, partners and guests — to a 50th Anniversary tea party with wine in the Gardens (or the Linbury Room if the weather’s bad) on Sunday 25 May 2025, at £25 per head.
If you would like to book your place, you can do so using the form below. Please note that this event is only open to those who took part in these Buskins productions and their guests. We hope to see you there!
