Location and Opening Times
Worcester College is located in the centre of Oxford on the junction of Beaumont Street, Walton Street and Worcester Street. The college is just across the road from the main bus and coach station, and is a 10 minute walk from the railway station and main shopping areas. The College is currently closed to the general public, but prospective applicants may visit during daylight hours on most days (excluding certain bank holidays). If you are a prospective applicant who would like to visit Worcester College, please email the Porters' Lodge at email@example.com or the Admissions and Access Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance of your visit for further information. The maximum group size is 6 people. On arrival, visitors should report to the Porters’ Lodge at the main entrance to the College. Accessibility Information for Disabled Visitors
The College is located on a multi-level site. The main entrance into the College and to the Porters' Lodge have flat access. The Dining Hall and Chapel have ramped and stair access. There is a platform lift to take visitors with mobility difficulties from the entrance level to the south side of the site, and the Porters will provide assistance with its use, if needed. There is a lift with flat access to take visitors to the North side of the site.
Adapted toilet facilities for visitors can be found in the Pump Quad and at the base of Staircase 6 (directions can be given on request). From the Porters' Lodge there are staircase entrances with +2 stairs and some groundfloor rooms off these staircases are +1 stairs. Ground floor rooms in the medieval cottages are accessed by -1 stair. There is no lift provision to other floors of the oldest parts of the College, and currently the libraries, computer rooms, bar and JCR are up or down a steep flight of stairs.
