Countdown to Giving Tuesday

Social ambassadors are already coming forward to sign up to Worcester’s very first giving day on Tuesday, 27 November. We are inviting Old Members, students and academics to spread the word about our 36-hour event, planned to start at noon (GMT) on Giving Tuesday.

The digital campaign called ‘WorcGives 2018’ was officially launched on 5 November, and is focussed on a new website that will be continually updated over the coming days until the end of the month. It will host videos about why more support is needed for Worcester students– for scholarships and bursaries, College access and outreach activities, and the boat club. The website is where people can go to sign up to become a social ambassador, donate on the day, and become an instrumental part of the success of WorcGives2018: https://worcester.hubbub.net/

To be an ambassador is easy: we encourage you to use your personal social networks to spread the word to contemporaries and friends about becoming an ambassador in the run-up to the big day. On the actual day, ambassadors will generate excitement to encourage others to give.

Once signed up, we will provide a toolkit for ambassadors, including information about how to download graphics and other digital information to use with posts to engage others.

Together, all gifts – large and small – will make the difference by investing in the future of our students.
