Hanneke Grootenboer wins Kenshur Prize

Treasuring the Gaze

Hanneke Grootenboer, tutor in History of Art, has been awarded the Kenshur Prize for the best interdisciplinary book in eighteenth-century studies for her study Treasuring the Gaze: Intimate Vision in Late Eighteenth-Century Eye Miniatures (University of Chicago Press, 2013).  The Kenshur Prize comprises of a cash prize and an invitation to attend an interdisciplinary seminar dedicated to the winning book, and is awarded each year by the Eighteenth-Century Studies Center of Indiana University at Bloomington.
