The College can offer accommodation to all undergraduates for three years of their degree.  All our accommodation is on the main College site or not more than 300 metres from the perimeter. Approximately 70% of rooms are en-suite with access to well-equipped shared kitchen/diners. Rooms range from those in 15th-century buildings to those built or refurbished in the last few years, and rents reflect differences in size and grade.  All undergraduate student rooms have internet connections, and are equipped with telephones.  Some rooms have a small refrigerator.  All accommodation is non-smoking.

Rents are payable termly in advance via battels (college accounts) and meals are paid on a charge card as taken.

The College is signed up to the Student Accommodation Code and all accommodation is run in accordance with the Universities UK Code of Practice.

The College is located on a multi-level site. We are committed to making arrangements to enable students with disabilities to participate as fully as possible in student life, and applicants are advised to contact the Admissions and Access Officer to arrange a visit and to discuss arrangements.   Our new buildings have rooms and kitchens adapted for wheelchair users, and some of our older buildings have rooms which are suitable for students with particular disabilities.

All first-year students are required to live in College. Thereafter undergraduates may live out, but second-year students must apply to the Dean and Domestic Bursar for permission. No such permission is required in later years.

The charges for rooms vary according to their size, age and appointment and have been graded accordingly.  There are 6 different grades of undergraduate accommodation. The grading system has been applied equally across all of the undergraduate accommodation.  All rents are calculated up from a basic cost per night to provide both a termly and annual charge.  The length of tenancy is 187 nights for 1st years, 189 for 2nd years and 238 nights for 3rd and 4th year undergraduates.  Vacation rent arrangements have remained unchanged at this time but are currently under review.

Students will also be liable for charges for utilities and amenities at around £128.86 per term respectively.

On arrival at the College students will receive a statement of the charge for their particular room, and other charges in detail. The College allocates accommodation to freshers, but before the end of the first year, students are given the chance to bid for a preferred room for the second year of residence. Those with the lowest grade rooms in the first year have an increased chance of a higher grade room in the second year. Final room allocation is decided by the Accommodation Office, JCR President and JCR Housing Rep with input from the Dean, Academic Administrator and Domestic Bursar. The College reserves the right to move students from one room to another on site during the year, if necessary. Such occasions are likely to be very rare but might, for example, be in order to undertake urgent maintenance or to release a particular room in order to meet a student’s special accommodation requirements.
