Engineering, Physics and Materials Science

Are you: Studying at a non-selective UK state school? Thinking of making an application to Oxford University this October to study EngineeringPhysics or Materials Science? Full of questions about how to do the best you can on each aspect of the admissions process? We would like to help.

There are a number of different stages involved in making an application to study Engineering, Physics or Materials Science at Oxford. We know that help with preparing for each of these stages is not evenly distributed among schools, and we want to offer support to ensure that all candidates feel confident in making their applications – no matter what kind of school they are currently studying at.

This Application Preparation Day on Thursday 27th August 2020 is a one-day digital event that walks through each stage of the application process, offering advice, support and chance to practice different aspects of the admissions tests and interviews. In order to be eligible for a place on this event, you must be studying (A Levels or equivalent subjects) at a UK state school, and planning to make your application this October. When applying for a place on the Application Preparation Day, you will be asked a number of questions that will help us to make sure that we are prioritising those who are the least likely to be receiving support similar to the kind we can offer in their schools and colleges, and who are currently under-represented in the University.

This event will be taking place online, so there is no need to travel to Oxford in order to attend. If you have any concerns or queries, please contact Claire Sims, Admissions & Access Officer at Worcester College, at
